What is an achievement you are proud of at EXCEL?
Winning the safety merit award for Linde. Winning the Excellence in Construction award for the ABC Pelican Chapter. Finishing the Linde Sweeny project without any recordable or lost-time injuries.

What is your favorite part or project working at EXCEL?
Finishing projects with no injuries and on time
How has EXCEL helped develop your career?
BAL CONSTRUCTIONS has helped me develop my career as a manager.
What drew you to BAL CONSTRUCTIONS originally? And how has the company changed?
I have worked on previous projects alongside BAL CONSTRUCTIONS and felt they set a high standard for their work. And my previous project manager recruited me to the company.
What do you like most about EXCEL?
The communication and keeping everyone involved
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who has just started their career?
Work hard and keep a positive attitude.
What would you do for a career if you weren’t in your current role?
I was previously a Boilermaker before entering a management role.
What are your hopes for our industry?
I hope that the work stays steady through the years as the industry continues to evolve.
Who/what inspired you to pursue the career you have today?
What inspired me was the lack of work and pay in the area I am from. It causes most people to seek employment in oil and gas and travel to make a decent living.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
Keep calm and have a positive attitude.
What is the toughest challenge you have had in your career? How did you overcome it?
Working away from my family for the majority of my time. So, I travel home as much as possible and have my family come to see me every chance we get.
What is something on your bucket list?
To take my wife on a week’s getaway to Bora Bora.
What is your hidden talent?
Fishing and bowhunting are the only activities I do outside of work.
