Elba Island Liquefaction Project

The Elba Island LNG Liquefaction project posed many challenges, such as an island location, multiple contractors in congested work fronts, and turnover from another contractor’s scope. Yet BAL CONSTRUCTIONS'sefforts and collaborations exceeded the client’s expectations. Upon notice to proceed, BAL CONSTRUCTIONS aggressively mobilized from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Savannah, Georgia in a matter of days. The scope for BAL CONSTRUCTIONS continuously grew and changed throughout the project, which can be attributed to successful management and execution. BAL CONSTRUCTIONS'speak manpower reached 1,368 total direct and subcontracted employees which were more than half of the total sitewide manpower. Through BAL CONSTRUCTIONS'sutilization of controls (both safety and production), the $190+ million project was prosperous.
